You don’t have to be a professional photographer to take fabulous Chihuahua pictures of your pet. You can use a 35-mm. SLR camera to photograph your Chihuahua, but a digital camera works just as well and gives you the option of deleting your bad shots before you pay to have them processed and printed.

Taking Chihuahua pictures is a fun activity for you and your pet. Whether you use an inexpensive digital camera or the very latest camera phone, digital photography is ideal for taking pictures of pets because you only pay for the pictures that turn out. The “delete” button takes care of blurry shots, shots with red eyes, and shots where your Chihuahua doesn’t look his best. Be sure to start each photo session with fresh batteries and a fresh memory card.

Once your camera is ready, loaded with fresh batteries and a fresh memory card, choose the setting for your Chihuahua pictures. If you have a fenced garden or other area where you can safely photograph your Chihuahua outdoors, then you can take pictures in daylight without using a flash. This will result in brighter, more natural looking pictures.

Another advantage of outdoor photography is that the bounty of nature offers you an array of interesting props. A background of green grass and flowers will add color to your Chihuahua pictures without lessening your pet’s supermodel status. Placing a well-known object like an apple or a pumpkin in the photo will make your dog seem smaller in contrast to these everyday items.

If you must take your Chihuahua pictures indoors, take them in the brightest room available and see if you can do without the flash, to get more natural colors. Placing mirrors opposite from windows and doors will amplify the light and brighten the room even further.

Now that your camera is ready, your backdrop is ready, and your props are ready, find out if your dog is ready for Chihuahua pictures. Most Chihuahuas are very active and don’t like to sit still for photos ? unless they’re sitting in your lap.

Photograph your dog in a variety of positions: running, sitting, lying down, and rolling over. Don’t worry if your Chihuahua gets tired. In fact, a picture of your Chihuahua yawning would make an excellent, unusual shot. If your photography “studio” is indoors, see if a friend or family member will act as your assistant and help you stage the photos. Your assistant can change backgrounds, arrange props, and hold the dog in place until you’re ready to shoot.

After you finish, enjoy the fruits of your work by uploading your Chihuahua pictures from your camera to your computer. The best pictures deserve to be displayed on your computer wallpaper or uploaded to a digital picture frame.r Chihuahua
