1. Rather than purchasing new saltwater aquarium fish from your local store it is far better if you choose to purchase those that they have had in stock for about two weeks or more. This way the store owner will be able to deal with any problems that may arise from them being placed in a new environment more effectively than you will be able to.

2. When you are going to be buying any kind of saltwater aquarium fish, spend some time at the store looking at the various different live species that they have available. It is important that when you buy either Angelfish, Clownfish, Hawkfish, Butterfly Fish or other marine life, that you look carefully at their behavior, the way they swim and breathe in the environment they are currently in.

3. As well as watching the saltwater aquarium fish behavior watch what happens when the fish in the store are being fed. Do they remain alert and do they enjoy feeding on what is provided? However, you should never keep more than two Damsels in a saltwater aquarium as they can turn aggressive towards each other.

2. Mollies - Yes these are normally freshwater fish but they can be taught how to live in a saltwater environment also. Just like Damsels these are relatively inexpensive to buy and it only takes a few hours for you to acclimatize them to be able to live in a tank that contains other saltwater aquarium fish. Keep them in the bag and water which they came from the store in, and over the next 6 to 8 hours add some aquarium salt mix to the water. You need to increase the amount of aquarium salt mix to the water each time you add some also.

3. Angelfish - May be the most beautiful looking of all the various different species of saltwater aquarium fish but are actually the most difficult to keep especially when you have only just set your saltwater aquarium tank up. The Cream Angelfish, the Cortez Angelfish, along with the Bicolor Angelfish and Black Nox Angelfish are not the most hardy of the various saltwater aquarium fish species and so they find it difficult to cope with any kind of new environment in which they are placed.
