Pomeranians are wonderful little dogs but like any other breed of dog there are Pomeranian problems that you should be aware of before you get involved in owning one. Discuss these issues with your breeder to be sure that you can deal with these potential Pomeranian problems and that a Pomeranian really is the dog for you. Knowing in advance what you are getting into is always a good way to prepare yourself for future issues.

Pomeranians are not the best dogs to have around children. The Pomeranian has a low tolerance for the kinds of activity that children like to engage in like running around and pulling and poking at the dog. There is almost no tolerance by a Pomeranian for people chasing it and any of these problems can result in biting so be careful. If you have small children then you really may want to consider getting a different breed of dog.

Raising A Healthy Poodle Puppy

by Lisa A Collins

Now that you have finally got your heart set on getting an adorable Poodle puppy, you need to make certain adjustments to your living space in order to make it puppy friendly. There are just a few things that you need to check for to make sure that the adjustment period for the puppy goes smoothly. First of all, you need to make sure that anything that can possibly be deadly to your puppy is removed and put out of reach or discarded.

Just like you would not leave mousetraps lying around a baby on the floor, you would not want to leave such items around a Poodle Puppy who is just as curious as any baby. Also, make sure that if there is anything that you really would get upset about if it got chewed, you need to take care of those items by putting them up and out of reach of the new puppy because one of the things that puppies love to do is chew.
