People today are becoming more health conscious. You may be more concerned about what you eat, and you may also worry about what you are feeding your dog. If you have ever compared dog food brands and realized how the food you feed your dog rates, you may have then wanted to begin feeding your dog a healthier alternative, suck as an all natural or organic dog food.
Dogs need many of the same things that we do, in order to be healthy. Foods that are healthy for people are often also healthy for our dogs. Just like us, our dogs require a diet based on healthy, lean protein such as lean beef or chicken, and especially organ meats. The Western Veterinary Conference, at itAaas 1994 meeting, confirmed that dogs also require many of the same vitamins that people do, such as vitamin E and C, as well as antioxidants to eliminate cancer causing free radicals from their bodies.

Many people could not contemplate a life without their dog as they see them as more than a family member but as a regular companion that they may not have ever experience in another human being. Dogs are always there when you need them, ready to go out for a walk if you are of just keeping you company when you would prefer a night in. Whatever the weather, your dog would follow you without even a whine but never as for anything other than you love in return.
Other than love, there are few ways we can really show our appreciation for the love and companionship a dog provides except by keeping them in first class health which can be done with a dog insurance plan. These policies provided by various pet insurance companies cover a wide range of services starting from accidents, serious illnesses and even routine health care for the pets. These dog insurance policies make it easy for the owner to look after their pet without any financial concerns bothering them.

With pet ownership comes responsibility. Unfortunately, many dog owners are still irresponsible with training their pets properly. In fact, an annual barrage of law suits, medical bills, and instances of dog euthanasia result from dog bites each year — almost 5 million according to the Center for Disease Control. This often avoidable behavior can be taught to dogs from a young age, which is a good thing for both dogs and their owners.
There are many common techniques that can be used to assist a dog to decrease, and eventually eliminate, biting behavior. The effectiveness of these techniques will vary from breed to breed, but with patience and repetition, puppies and adult dogs can learn to not bite.
Like with any other training you should start training dogs not to bite while they are young. Puppies naturally nip and bite but this behavior should be discouraged by you from day 1. Owners that let their puppies bite because they think it is cute often end up with grown dogs who don’t understand why this behavior is suddenly not allowed.

There isn’t any dog breed that is completely free from inheritable genetic defects, but the Siberian Husky has the fewest health problems of all breeds. The Siberian Husky enjoys generally good health and temperament, but there are still Siberian Husky health problems that you should look out for.
This general good health is largely due to the fact that the Siberian Husky Club of America or SHCA has kept an eye on all potential genetic problems and taken positive action in order to ensure the well being of the breed. This organization was tasked with being aware of genetic problems and alerting breeders before the defects can spread since its start in 1965. The two greatest areas of concern for the Siberian Husky that the SHCA has found is canine hip dysphasia and inheritable eye disease. However, you can try to avoid these conditions in your dog and help them live a long, healthy life with proper care and monitoring.
