There are some Shar Pei allergies that are easily managed and there are some that require very specific care. For instance Shar Peis have very sensitive paws and a quick temper when a stranger touches them. The Shar Peis paws will need to be carefully cleaned and examined. It is not unusual for Shar Peis to get sores associated with salts and other chemicals from walking on city streets in the winter. In the winter some pet owners even wash their pet’s feet after each walk.
As with all pet allergies, Shar Pei allergies are usually caused by something we do to them. Often allergic reactions result from a change of food or a change of shampoo. As owners we need to consider the results of our actions at all times and given that the Shar Pei is now a pure breed recognize that the pure breeds often exhibit less tolerance for change of all forms.
This is a preview of

I may not know a thing about you but I’ll bet that you are very excited when there is a new addition to the household.
However, after picking up your dog and bringing your pet into your home, you realize that your dog is quite dominant and hard to control. What do you do? Some of you may say you will start to train your dog. Wait! Do you know what you are talking about? How do you train a dog? Do you know what you are going to do when the dog keeps barking? Yes, it is not that simple. Just like with any tasks, don’t come unprepared. Understanding and knowledge are both essential so take the time to know why dogs behave that way.

Chihuahua breeding has become a popular business, and this can work both for and against you when you are on the hunt for the perfect Chihuahua puppy. On a positive note, if you are serious about wanting a puppy from a responsible Chihuahua breeder you will be able to find a breeder that has the perfect dog for you. The down side is that there is Chihuahua breeding going on that is not done in a responsible fashion, and the result can be unhealthy, unfriendly ugly dogs - probably not what you are hoping for in a family pet.
Never rush into the purchase of a dog. Keep in mind that Chihuahuas can live 18 years or more, so this pet will be a long-term commitment. You will want to find a puppy that is healthy and bred carefully to prevent possible genetic defects and illnesses.
