Make sure you do not give the dog too much food because this can lead to obesity and reproduction. Dogs do not live that long, so pregnancies should not occur often.

The carbohydrate portion of the dog’s diet is obtained from rice, wheat, corn, and other related foods. Carbohydrates provide the dog with increased range of motion and flexibility. Carbohydrates break down into glucose when they enter the digestive system, creating energy for the pet.

Dog Ear Mites & Solutions To Care For Pets Ears.

by Rebecca Foxton

Ear mite infections are a big problem for both cats and dogs. If you watch your cat or dog and notice some changes in behavior it could be that your pet has ear mite problems.

If your pet starts shaking his head violently or won’t stop scratching at his ears, even to the point where he is crying out because it is painful, you are probably dealing with ear mites.

You are probably asking what an ear mite is. Deep in the ear canal is the home of small parasites known as ear mites.

Feeding on blood, they bite through the lining of the ear, which creates swelling and discomfort for your animal.

If you don’t treat an ear mite infection, secondary problems may set in, including yeast or bacterial infections, sores, blood clots, and surgery.

And if that doesn’t scare you, maybe the fact your pet will lose his hearing and will need a costly operation will.

Which Chihuahua Breeders To Avoid

by Sandra Dean

When you decide to do business with a Chihuahua breeder you aren’t buying a lamp from someone you will never see again, you are buying a pet that you will be raising in partnership with your breeder. Make sure you do a thorough check of your breeder before you do business with them, as you need to be completely comfortable that they are the right breeder for you. A reputable breeder will not try and hide anything from you and a reputable breeder will insist that you do all of your own researching so that you find that breeder that is perfect for you.

Your quest should begin by asking which national breeder registry the breeder belongs to. The American Kennel Club is the one everyone knows but there are others out there just as acceptable. Check their registration for yourself and see what you think of that breeder’s group breeding standards and if you are comfortable with them. If they do not belong to a registry you need to ask why.
