Being a responsible dog owner means taking the time to understand and recognize Siberian Husky allergies when they start to show themselves. The Siberian Husky as a breed is normally a very healthy dog but they can develop some of the allergies common to many other breeds and only a trip to your vet will be able to narrow down the allergy and then outline a treatment. Don’t let any allergy go unattended, as they can get very uncomfortable for your dog.
One of the more common allergies in most breeds is a skin allergy. Skin allergies can come from a reaction to a change in food or something new in your dog’s surroundings. Your vet will be able to identify the source of the reaction and offer a treatment plan after looking your dog over.
With skin allergies there can be rashes on the skin, patches of hair missing, or the dog just always seems uncomfortable. The cause of these allergies can range from diet to something in the dog’s surroundings. Your vet will determine the cause and treatment.

You need to know as much information as you can about any breed of dog before you adopt one. And, since the German Shepherd is a lot of dog, you need to know a lot of German Shepherd information before adopting or purchasing one! Not all dogs are alike. If you’ve never lived with a large dog or a very active dog before, then you are going to be in for a surprise with a German Shepherd. Hopefully, this will be a welcome surprise.
But if German Shepherd dogs are so great, how come so many wind up in animal shelters? These incredible animals are abandoned by the thousands every year, not because they have something wrong with them, but that their previous owners lacked the basic German Shepherd information on what life is like with this special breed. If you are considering getting a German Shepherd, please take into consideration what life with a Shepherd is like before you get the dog or puppy.

What qualities would you look for in a friend? You would hope they would stick by your side through good times and bad. You pray that they will never betray your secrets. You wish that they would help you out when you needed help. You can find all of these qualities in a German Shepherd dog. And, as added benefit, they won’t sue you, either.
German Shepherd dogs do, indeed, live up to the fictional resume of Rin Tin Tin. They are noble, loyal, brave, friendly and eager to please. Yes, you read that right — they are incredibly friendly. However, because they are so eager to please their people that they will quickly learn to attack if that is what their people want. At one point a few decades ago, German Shepherds were as feared as Pit Bulls are today.
